Dear WCO AP members,

I am pleased to have been designated as Vice Chair of the WCO AP Region at the 111/112th WCO Council held last June. First of all, I pay tribute to India Customs for the endeavors it made over the past 2 years to promote the advancement and mutual cooperation of AP customs authorities.

Over the next 2 years, as Vice Chair of the WCO AP Region, I will make every possible effort for successful implementation of the「Regional Strategic Plan 2008-2010」which contains mid-term development strategies for customs in the AP region, and activate this website for the WCO AP Region as a venue for exchanging best practices of regional members and collecting and sharing opinions on current issues such as trade security, IPR protection, commercial fraud, etc. In dealing with various critical matters, I will always keep my eyes and ears open for opinions of member customs.
